Bass Cittern in C major with pick-up - based on our guitar cittern
Over the years we have been asked again and again why we do not design other instruments the way we designed our guitar cisterns: Bouzoukis, Mandocelli, Cittern, Blarges .... a good idea, we thought. Somehow historical, but somehow modern again. Our bass cittern is one of the results of this thought process. The instrument has a Fishman Presys+ pickup with built-in tuner. Tuned like a classical waldzither in C major, only everything an octave lower with one small difference: the low C is, in contrast to the waldzither, double-chorded. Don't get confused by the stringing.
