An instrument that is easy to learn for everyone. The fingerboard has only the "right" notes. With a capo one can switch between major and minor scales.

Depending on the tuning, the result is G major and A minor(stringing is gG - d'd- gg - d'd' respectively G3,G2 - D4,D3 - G3,G3 - D4,D4 viewed from top to bottom) with our Dulcister string set, or A major and B minor (with Irish bouzouki strings tuned to aA - ee' - aa - e'e' respectively A3,A2 - E4,E3 - A3,A3 - E4,E4).

For transport, we recommend a regular Irish bouzouki soft or hard case.

Choosing chords intuitively will quickly bring playing success.

Wonderful, quality instrument!

I'm thrilled with my Dulcister! I'm a semi pro folk guitarist in two bands in the U.S., playing weekly. I was unsure what quality and playability this instrument would have, but I wanted to assure anyone considering the Dulcister to rest easy, its a professional instrument, setup was perfect, super easy neck, sound is wonderful, very clean finish, machine heads are quality and keep in tune amazingly well. The instrument has a wonderful chime and sparkle, and truly inspires melodies right out of the box, which by the way made it from Germany to OKC in perfect condition in about 2 weeks. The price is phenomenal considering the quality and uniqueness if this instrument. I wish Folkfriends had a U.S. outlet so the VAT and shipping costs could be eliminated, but thats a minor complaint. The idea of combining a dulcimer and cittern made me wonder how I'd play this thing, since I play guitar and octave mandolin, but the Dulcister is an eminently playable instrument for anyone who loves strings. Thank you!

heute ist mein(e) dulcister endlich angekommen nach fast 2 tagen wartezeit :-) also versand ging ruckzuck...spitze dann ausgepackt und gefreut , ist echt schön und sauber verarbeitet im anschluss erstmal gestimmt was kein problem mit stimmgerät darstellt als schlagwerker grobmotoriker und nichtnotist dann das erste mal angespielt und ich bekomm das grinsen nicht mehr ausm gesicht klingt einfach sehr geil und ist wirklich einfach zu spielen der einzige nachteil ist mein weib hats bis zu meinem geburtstag eingezogen :-( also wenn man einfach mal was zum musikmachen sucht und sich die finger an der gitarre verrenkt eine top empfehlung
