Cittern 10-string with pick-up - based on our guitar cittern
Over the years we have been asked again and again why we do not design other instruments in the design of our guitar cisterns: Bouzoukis, Mandocelli, Cittern, Blarges .... a good idea, we thought. Somehow historical, but somehow modern again. Our Cittern is one of the results of this thought process. The instrument has a Fishman Presys+ pickup with built-in tuner.
Don't get confused by the stringing. The photos show our Blarge, which is virtually identical in construction. The Citternist is strung with unison strings tuned in D (D2) - G (G2) - d (D3) - g (G3) - d' (D4). You can see and hear what I mean by watching the video right now!
