Carbony Irish Flute in D made from carbon fiber small hand
This Irish flute is made entirely of unbreakable carbon fiber and comes with a lifetime warranty. The instrument has a Carbony™ Tuning Slide. This slide is the exact geometric opposite of its metal counterpart, so air friction is reduced resulting in a more powerful sound. The resonant body of the flute is made of pure carbon and produces a powerful, extremely warm tone.
The body is conically drilled in seven steps. Single tone holes are undercut so that they are closer to each other. Thus this flute can be comfortably played by those with small hands. The ends of the body are reinforced with an O-ring to ensure high structural stability.
Rob Gandara, who built the flute for us, includes a lifetime warranty on material and playability. Of several hundred instruments only one repair has been needed after it was caught in a car door. The advantage of the carbon is its tuning stability. The material does not react to temperature differences. Thus, the tuning of the instrument is always as precise as at the day it is delivered.
