Baroque ukulele tenor - Ukele-lute + BAG
This beautiful instrument is a tenor ukulele, with the body of a lute, based on an old original instrument from Germany. The 11-piece round body is assembled from strips of solid sycamore and the solid spruce top is provided with a rosette, after a 1607 design by Magno Stegher.
Neck and head are made of solid rosewood. Modern tuners provide "good tuning". The scale length is, like most tenor ukuleles, 43 cm. Top nut and saddle are made of bone and the instrument comes standard with a lathed endpin.
The Ukule-lute comes in tenor, soprano and concert. Each one is based on an historical model and has an individual rosette whose templates were obtained from instruments of the 16th and 17th centuries.
