Irish Bouzouki-Cittern with pick-up - based on our guitar cittern
Over the years we have been asked again and again why we do not design other instruments in the design of our guitar cisterns: Bouzoukis, Mandocelli, Cittern, Blarges .... a good idea, we thought. Somehow historical, but somehow modern again.
Our Irish Bouzouki Cister is one of the results of this thought process. An extension of our bouzouki spectrum! The body is wider and deeper than that of a typical Trinity-style bouzouki, making the sound more bassy and voluminous. The spacing between the pairs of strings is much wider than you're used to on a conventional bouzouki. Especially those who come from the guitar realms should appreciate this, because here the distances between the strings are similarly wide.
