Plain wood whistle made from plum wood in D
This wood whistle by Alexander Horsch is made of reddish plum wood. It has a beautiful warm sound which remains even over the octave and has broad variability. It responds very easily and is therefore also suitable for beginners. Both the material and the beautiful, simple design make the flute interesting not only for whistlers from the folk realms but also for flutists from the medieval scene.
The flute can be played just like a normal tin whistle, but it also has an additional thumbhole, which allows the high D to be played without the strong overblowing. If you want to do without it, just leave the thumb where it has always been and use only the upper 6 finger holes as usual.
