Description

The devil's fiddle is spread throughout Europe in many varieties - ours comes from a place southwest of Hamburg. In a nutshell, it is a drum set on a stick, and includes everything you need to make a proper noise - which was the very essence of the instrument. After all, no one less than the devil himself in person was to be cast out with it, hence the name.

The instrument is approximately 65 inches long, has a small pair of cymbals and two bells at the top, beneath is a sounding wood block.  Finally there is a tambourine, on which a bridge is placed; two noise strings run over it. The instrument is played with a drum stick, into which have been carved additional prominent teeth for producing ratchet-ratchet noises. One thing must not be missing: the devil's head, for it is only because of this that the devil's fiddle becomes what it is! This head is elaborately made from paper mache and hand-crafted with much love in Lower Saxony, bringing honor to its name.

So, grab hold and make some noise, because with this thing you'll outshine even the most experienced exorcist!
